MOMENT IN LOVE

It all began,
With my thoughts in words,
My words in rhymes,
My rhymes in love,
And my love in you.

If anyone asks you,
Tell them I'm a little mad,
Say I looked for you,
At the bottom of every bottle,
Hoping to find happiness,
Cause I miss you bad.

If anyone asks you,
Just say the sun forgot to shine,
And the earth stood still,
Say happiness exists still,
And I found mine at the bottom of a labeled bottle,
Which label reads your name.

If anyone asks you,
Tell them I've been drinking all year,
Now I'm drunk to stupor,
Not of alcohol however,
But for the love you showered on me.

If anyone ask you,
Tell them I've been smoking for decades,
For reason unknown,
Until I met you,
My sight was bright as sun,
And reason so clear as star,
That which have been smoking,
Was your love wrapped in rizzla.

If anyone ask you,
Tell them I've been writing,
For a particular reason,
That glued our fate,
Make us mate,
Just to start with a date,
Maybe at this rate,
Our love would escalate,
To a level we procreate,
For our family to relate,
Leading us to celebrate,
What we just created.

If anyone ask you,
Just tell them what we Feel,
Is fireproof.

CRIMINAL CELEBRITIES

This piece stands to portray events in most African nations and countries with similar

attributes such as failing economy system, corruption, civil unrest, clamour for secession,

marginalization, poverty, high level of illiteracy and terrorism both psychological and

physical, under-development e.t.c amongst others.

It is a known fact that countries which exemplify most factors listed above often forsake attribute

such as pious, truth and integrity  for the opposite and people who possess such character are often

seen as fools...

Why thieves, vindictive, erratic liars are often celebrated and turned into demi-gods, even

Almighty would have to pause on some occasion to acknowledge this celebrity criminals as

often seen in mosque when Jumat prayers are often delayed till their arrival or in church

where sermons are tailored to suit our modern criminals.

This criminals don't use physical weapons such as gun, knives, bombs to kill but they wield power

(words) which is the greatest weapons of all.

They wage psychological wars on human race and humanities by not only denying them of their

basic needs and necessity but also instigate a fraction and/or race to take some desired course of

action which would certainly lead to the doom/demise of both the race and individual pawns

involved leaving corpse on the path to their road to success, and committing Ungodly crime such as

genocide and destruction.

Despite their crimes ranging from embezzling and misappropriation to war, they are often

celebrated like a celebrity which they are due to the consent of populace either election or

by appointment, "voice populi voice dae" voice of the people, voice of God respectively.

The reason they still continue to loot our future and bastardize our present linger on the consent

which the people have given them either via poverty (selling of votes) illiteracy ( i.e the

gullibility of believing in lies either from our religious leaders, ethnic leaders or tribal

background) which are nothing but a tool to politicians and various political actors) \.

While I was young, my parent often enslave my mentality into believing that the God mostly

recognized by my nation Christianity and Islam, perhaps one of the same God in various

form and various cultural background.

but now I ask my fellow readers "is it wrong to believe in oneself ?"

If you don't believe in you and you claim to belief in God "to what extent ?"

Parent as we know them are guardian who are to explain the do's and don't and existing

protocol / social order of life without interjecting or enforcing personal traits or attributed as our

way of life, the opposite is usually the case, we are different and cannot be our parents' photocopy.

Why can't they appreciate our difference and not use other A' type robot peers as a

yardstick for our success...

AWOKEN NIGHT

Of all the dames,
She was dear,
With smiles on lips,
I was lost in love,
But what she felt,
I know not.

In a period of time,
I heard the whisper,
It came in words,
And words in thought,
That what I seek,
Was what I'd get.

Like the fool I am,
It all began,
Like air is to human,
I'm glued to her,
Like fuel is to car,
We became inseparable.

With dawn upon,
I soon realize,
That with these progress,
She'd soon be gone,
To a life so far away.

Yet from the start,
She was never mine,
I fell like a ghost,
Without her smile,
And her cozy stare,
That melts my soul.

I wanted a night,
So close to her,
Just a cuddle
Was what I seek,
Like a disease,
She refrain from me,
And moved north,
When I headed south,
And moved west,
When I headed east.

While her pushes
Tagged me a thief,
Who had come
To claim it all.

The happiness grown,
a few months back,
But my only aim
Was a moment with her,
I was woke at dawn,
With a kiss on lips,
And her penetrating gaze,
Upon my soul,
At this moment,
My conviction was convicted,
That come rain and shine,
She'd still be here,
And no matter what,
She'd be glued to me...

DEAR FROM AFAR

Olajide Oladipo

Hello my dear from the rear,
My feelings for you i bear,
But all i offer to you is a pear,
Just for you to appear,
A feign look you wear,
But my courage you geared,
All my effort this year,
Will all but not quell,

Oh! my pearl,
A stallion i'm to your mare,
Emotion seen in care,
But i know the time is near,
And you'd have to adhere,
That cupid is here,
To bless our heir,
A peer we earn,

 Destiny Mtika

Awww! Hello my dear from a far place,
Though worlds apart we are,
Still we together are inclined,
Like the pairs of the eyes blinking together,
So we exchange texts checking on each other,
The feeling of loneliness that use to cling on me then,
No longer exits because you embrace each day with thy sweet melodies.

Olajide Oladipo

Mars I'd be to your Venus,
Cupid is there to bond us,
Heir is ours to flaunt with,
Every moment would be explain in books,
Every sound record as album,
And act will be directed as a season movies,
For this is our story on infinity Love

WHAT SHE'S NOT

Confused and attracted is how I feel,
That began the story the day I met she,
For I was mesmerized from she's not,
She's no sun yet she's glow,
She's no moon yet she's bright,
She's no angel yet she beautiful,
She's no tailor yet she mend my heart,
She's no potter yet mold my home,
She's no coach yet I'm her world best player,
She's no lecturer yet I learn from her,
She's no star yet she shine,
She's no number yet she's my perfect 8,
She's that diamond every man what to own,
Yet my lack of resourcefulness and timidity divest me from her....

II
To her I'm but like a glass, cause all of me is so vivid to her,
She's no detective but she knows my crimes,
She just convicted me recently to a life of love so far away,
She's the reason I'm quick to wake when I go to bed,
She's the reason I'm full of emotion,
Yet so hungry to love.

MY ANNABELLE

Smiles on lips,
Just like tulips,
Calm in face,
Just like a dove,
Yet heart blazing,
With fire within.

Of all zodiac,
She's as proud as queen,
And of all animal,
She represent the king,
Her roar she'd believe,
Could end the world,
But her thought to me all just in words.

Heart of a lion friendly like a dog,
And her presence attract all in hall,
From which she'd learn to reject,
Iridescent looks and intelligent brain,
What she possess became another possession.

Not in "fact" but yet in thought,
Thoughts of words,
Words of mind,
Yet unspoken truth.

For if the words are let out,
It will be the basis of rise or death,
Rise to grace but dead at heart,
For those who'd dare,
It the story of another tale.

Yet when  it all seem true,
Perhaps too true to be real,
Making me so me that I'd love to be someone else,
And so vulnerable I'd need to hide,
Hide from truth,
The truth in me and the me in I,
But the knowledge of she is what I'd keep at heart,
And the friendship I'd value for life.

BROTHERHOOD

Bored I felt,
When I should be alive,
Forsake by cronies who'd promise to be forever here,
Though not with anyone but me,
With half time whistle they all disappeared,
Forced into loneliness,
I began to alter my allegiance,
With my other friends,
Those who I've always aspire to understand,
With a good rapport,
A different pot of fish,
From a high fence,
I gazed down upon them,
Making explanation for their various action,
Of how beauty could knee in for a beast,
And the one's creating sounds for the soul,
Side by side they sat next to each other,
Like brothers from the same mother,
Depicting the africa traditional character for brotherhood,
I could all but be sad,
Realisation that the mother of all is Eve,
Cause my lips to be painted in smiles and kisses,
All in my imaginary world,
Yet in reality,
Brotherly bond broken by the sword of despair,
That which they wield against each other,
With the threat of death and bruise looming,
And innocent mediator suffering all consequences,
But in the end they all had soften heart and loving soul,
Yet with lots of unspoken words it was all over...
That the story of saturn day....
