Good Friday

Life stress for some is measured day by day,

And it accomplishment for most is in disarray,

This is the story of a good friday,

Which promised all but a boring day, (hectic)

As the anchors disengage all the ships,

Captains are expecting the worst with prayer for the best,

Truth be told it all started as planned,

From grass to grace,

The day kicked it journey towards night,

And the muse left us all bemused, Our worst distraction in place,

Our major obstacle yet to be seen,

With lack of attention,

like an empty shell we sat and stare,

Not at him but in our mind, to find answers to unknown questions,

Without paying any heed he continued as planned,

But to our surprise his presence was short lived,

Not for us, nor to balance the inadequacy he created,

Rather to satisfy the mother of all habit.

Which ought to be always respected for who she was,

As she comfort those in need, And care for those indeed (demand),

Lady most would think, but laziness I know her to be,

As we were left to uncover what to come next,

Test we'd hope, but note we receive with a little saddened news,

That what we'd hope to get will be washed with the tide of the sea,

Not too far away, but far enough to be seen from afar,

With looming concern it became so clear,

Of the catastrophic coalition that had occur,

Same time different phenomenon,

How are we to survive the conspiracy against us,

Their force we fear was more than we can handle,

But their love we never know was more than they portray,

These night cloud has blinded our gaze toward hoping for the best.

But all in all, it was more than we'd hope for,

With smiles on most face it was labelled a good friday,

With rest of mind I stirred my ship home,

Not however alone but with cronies I hold dear to heart,

As we engage in witty words and funny jokes,

All on my mind was, what is to come,

Cause the hope I have and the strength I hold are what will see me through,

My present predicament, known to none,

With that in mind all I did was fraternize with cronies,

Feign looks accessing the growth of most,

When she returned I was embedded in cloths of jealousy,

While trying to so hard to adjust to my playboy attitude,

With lots of unspoken words we part our ways,

Not in kind but with doubts,

That which none would love to share with the other,

I decide to forgo that with refuge from my hommies,

Who I'd believe gat my back always,

But all effort was to be short lived,

As the sound of my phone was as audible as ever,

The voice on the other end could all but remind me of my predicament. (Dyv call)

But as all hope was almost lost,

There she is, my friend, my nemesis, my antagonist Who had made me smile for every moment spent with her than sadden my world,

Our friendship based on similar attribute, of laziness, social, sexual maturity and relative with people.

But her trait seem not to be the focus of these writing rather her deeds,

The good ones to be precise,

As she alight from the black seldan,

So has the angel who would save my day, been my usual self,

Connected with her and we related on how things goes,

Then she'd surprise me by solving my initial doubt,

With a rush of happiness I was speechless,

Yet in truth I remain composed,

Pretending it all mean little to me,

When it actually mean the world to me,

We had a little stroll and gist like we always do,

But with the aftermath I asked myself,

To what extend can a player be played,

And to what length can a lover be lost,

Now I see reason for my trust issue,

People trust because they have no reason no to.

El Dorado

Life is a battle,
All actions are gamble,
Where everybody hope to risk a little and gain the world,
While we seek similar goals,
Some sought of El Dorado.

Though faced by many obstacles,
Our outcome is what often relates to our storyline,
If positive; we paint the road rough and shattered as we could,
With many (positive words) such as hard-work, consistency, trust, and diligence to buttress the ordeal we've overcome.

However, if the contrary is the result we tend to paint the road similarly rough but not shattered,
As that aspect is left for self conviction,
Thereby passing blame to whoever we think in our rational assessment believe it is due to.

Though we may share some portion to ourselves to alleviate the personal guilt we feel within.
But while our daily gamble is placed to the stakeholder (GOD) for the believers and on (MORALS) for the atheist.

The fact still remains our interests in life (El Dorado) all stack up to our
immediate gains and satisfaction which are integral to the decisions we make
moment after moment;

The accumulation of these if you are fortunate enough will either drive you
toward your El Dorado or away from it.
Whichever way, the most important part/time of every man life is neither his past nor the future,
Rather the moment we live and the decisions we take every moment of our life.

Whatever nature deals at you, never relent on your El Dorado and take the best
course of action for that moment.
Because that "moment" will never occur twice in a life time.
This write up is dedicated to all those that I've shared a moment of my life with,
and those that will still continue to be in most moment of my life.

OLD WAYS Vs NEW WAYS: Questions in the twinkle of an eye

Why do people in the twinkle of an eye disregard the importance of what is old to adopt the

new trend of things?

Though I'm not against the new order of things, but the value of the old ways and

paradigms cannot be easily thrashed, when the new shining object sparkles right into our

eyes.

Why do people in the twinkle of an eye disregard the value of old love for new one's?

The value of parental love which are measured in decades: pain and pleasure?

Though man is believably naturally conditioned to prefer pleasure to pain, but all pleasure

with no pain create one sided memories, showing only one side of what life connotes,

because in life there are always two sides to every phenomenon and it does not suffice to see

or feel one and neglect the other.

This is however because the true value of the other would be downplayed.

For instance, a boy/girl who decides to elope with his or her newly found love without

entertaining the tendency of seeking their parents' opinion is also disregarding the value of

old love in favour of the new ones. This is a situation where youths make decision based on

their fear or favour of their parents' reactions: for those who "do not think for others".

Why do people in the twinkle of an eye disregard the value of the 'old' culture upon the adoption of

the new ones?

Though this topic might attract controversies, as some would base their argument of the old

culture on its seemingly barbaric nature and conservative attributes, forgetting the fact that

it is the reason why they were where they have always been and must not be totally

eradicated but instead modernized to suit the contemporary world, as history of human

development cannot be fully understood without including the barbaric state of nature

which they had previously existed.

Why do people in the twinkle of an eye disregard the value of an old tradition and religion

for the new ones?

Old traditions and religions, no matter how cruel might not be as distasteful as the

contemporary ones which preaches conflict in the contest of love and segregation in that of

unity.

While old traditions might claim certain live unjustly "in innocent babies" or abominable

life, so as new tradition and religion conflicts which life claims has no specific age boundary

but an everyday phenomenon.

Where the Old religions ask for little in wealth as returns for prayers and goodwill, new

religions however drain the pocket of innocent masses and create such problems as poverty

on a wider scale. Religious leaders in this new age live lavishly at the expense of their

subjects; building places of worship instead of shelter for the homeless; buying private jets

instead of building companies, industry for the jobless; building expensive educational

institutions against the standard of living of masses; killing, raping and punishing innocent

lives at the expense of love, peace and unity.

Why do people in the twinkle of an eye disregard the value of an old relationship such as

courtship at the expense of new ones, easily relegating the bound of love and feelings felt for

the old ones as often instantly transferred to the new ones, in that while spending time or

making love to the old ones, the picture of the new found love is born in mind?

Why do people in the twinkle of an eye forget so much about all that matter in our pasts?

This I know certainly, a home without pillars often collapses and our pasts are the pillars

for the future and must be constantly reviewed.
