CRIMINAL CELEBRITIES

This piece stands to portray events in most African nations and countries with similar

attributes such as failing economy system, corruption, civil unrest, clamour for secession,

marginalization, poverty, high level of illiteracy and terrorism both psychological and

physical, under-development e.t.c amongst others.

It is a known fact that countries which exemplify most factors listed above often forsake attribute

such as pious, truth and integrity  for the opposite and people who possess such character are often

seen as fools...

Why thieves, vindictive, erratic liars are often celebrated and turned into demi-gods, even

Almighty would have to pause on some occasion to acknowledge this celebrity criminals as

often seen in mosque when Jumat prayers are often delayed till their arrival or in church

where sermons are tailored to suit our modern criminals.

This criminals don't use physical weapons such as gun, knives, bombs to kill but they wield power

(words) which is the greatest weapons of all.

They wage psychological wars on human race and humanities by not only denying them of their

basic needs and necessity but also instigate a fraction and/or race to take some desired course of

action which would certainly lead to the doom/demise of both the race and individual pawns

involved leaving corpse on the path to their road to success, and committing Ungodly crime such as

genocide and destruction.

Despite their crimes ranging from embezzling and misappropriation to war, they are often

celebrated like a celebrity which they are due to the consent of populace either election or

by appointment, "voice populi voice dae" voice of the people, voice of God respectively.

The reason they still continue to loot our future and bastardize our present linger on the consent

which the people have given them either via poverty (selling of votes) illiteracy ( i.e the

gullibility of believing in lies either from our religious leaders, ethnic leaders or tribal

background) which are nothing but a tool to politicians and various political actors) \.

While I was young, my parent often enslave my mentality into believing that the God mostly

recognized by my nation Christianity and Islam, perhaps one of the same God in various

form and various cultural background.

but now I ask my fellow readers "is it wrong to believe in oneself ?"

If you don't believe in you and you claim to belief in God "to what extent ?"

Parent as we know them are guardian who are to explain the do's and don't and existing

protocol / social order of life without interjecting or enforcing personal traits or attributed as our

way of life, the opposite is usually the case, we are different and cannot be our parents' photocopy.

Why can't they appreciate our difference and not use other A' type robot peers as a

yardstick for our success...

AWOKEN NIGHT

Of all the dames,
She was dear,
With smiles on lips,
I was lost in love,
But what she felt,
I know not.

In a period of time,
I heard the whisper,
It came in words,
And words in thought,
That what I seek,
Was what I'd get.

Like the fool I am,
It all began,
Like air is to human,
I'm glued to her,
Like fuel is to car,
We became inseparable.

With dawn upon,
I soon realize,
That with these progress,
She'd soon be gone,
To a life so far away.

Yet from the start,
She was never mine,
I fell like a ghost,
Without her smile,
And her cozy stare,
That melts my soul.

I wanted a night,
So close to her,
Just a cuddle
Was what I seek,
Like a disease,
She refrain from me,
And moved north,
When I headed south,
And moved west,
When I headed east.

While her pushes
Tagged me a thief,
Who had come
To claim it all.

The happiness grown,
a few months back,
But my only aim
Was a moment with her,
I was woke at dawn,
With a kiss on lips,
And her penetrating gaze,
Upon my soul,
At this moment,
My conviction was convicted,
That come rain and shine,
She'd still be here,
And no matter what,
She'd be glued to me...

DEAR FROM AFAR

Olajide Oladipo

Hello my dear from the rear,
My feelings for you i bear,
But all i offer to you is a pear,
Just for you to appear,
A feign look you wear,
But my courage you geared,
All my effort this year,
Will all but not quell,

Oh! my pearl,
A stallion i'm to your mare,
Emotion seen in care,
But i know the time is near,
And you'd have to adhere,
That cupid is here,
To bless our heir,
A peer we earn,

 Destiny Mtika

Awww! Hello my dear from a far place,
Though worlds apart we are,
Still we together are inclined,
Like the pairs of the eyes blinking together,
So we exchange texts checking on each other,
The feeling of loneliness that use to cling on me then,
No longer exits because you embrace each day with thy sweet melodies.

Olajide Oladipo

Mars I'd be to your Venus,
Cupid is there to bond us,
Heir is ours to flaunt with,
Every moment would be explain in books,
Every sound record as album,
And act will be directed as a season movies,
For this is our story on infinity Love
